Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CreatorHQ LLC, a limited liability company ("CreatorHQ," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the CreatorHQ application and the services available at usecreatorhq.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Who we are

CreatorHQ is creator command center software that connects to your YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram accounts to give you a unified inbox, cross-platform analytics, content planning tools, and AI-assisted replies. You can reach us at support@usecreatorhq.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information you provide directly: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure one-way hash, never in plain text).
• Connected platform data, only after you explicitly authorize a connection through the platform's own sign-in screens: your public profile or channel/page information, comments and messages sent to your account, and engagement metrics (such as follower counts, views, and post performance). YouTube is authorized through Google's official sign-in; other platforms (such as Bluesky and Mastodon) are authorized through their own official sign-in flows. When Facebook and Instagram connections open, they are authorized together through a single Meta authorization (Facebook Login for Business), which grants access to your Facebook Page and the Instagram Business account linked to it.
• Usage information: how you interact with CreatorHQ, such as which features you use, to help us maintain and improve the Service.

We never ask for or store the password for any platform you connect — YouTube, Bluesky, Mastodon, Facebook, Instagram, or any other. All platform connections use the platform's official sign-in, and CreatorHQ only receives a limited access token scoped to the permissions you approve.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Display your comments, messages, and mentions from connected platforms in a single unified inbox.
• Show analytics and performance summaries across your connected accounts.
• Operate the content calendar and post planning features.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the Service, and respond to support requests.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data, or any data obtained through the YouTube or Meta APIs, for advertising, ad targeting, or retargeting purposes, and we do not transfer this data to third parties except as described in this Policy.

3a. AI features and third-party AI processing

CreatorHQ includes several optional AI features that send you-controlled text to OpenAI, a third-party AI provider, in order to generate a suggestion for you to review. Specifically:

• AI reply drafting (in the unified inbox and reply composer): the comment or message text, the commenter's display name, the source platform, and your chosen reply tone are sent to OpenAI to generate a suggested reply. Your brand-voice preferences from Creator Memory (if you've set any) are included so the suggestion matches your style.
• AI Studio: the content idea or prompt you type is sent to OpenAI to generate a content plan.
• AI Chat: your message text in that conversation is sent to OpenAI to generate a response.
• Sponsor pitch generator: the sponsor name, niche, and any notes you provide are sent to OpenAI to draft an outbound pitch.

In every case, only the specific text relevant to that request is sent - not your full account, connected-platform credentials, or unrelated data - and every AI suggestion is shown to you for review; nothing is ever posted, sent, or acted on automatically. The app asks for your explicit permission the first time you use any of these features, before anything is sent to OpenAI, and will not send data to OpenAI until you agree. You can decline and continue using the rest of CreatorHQ normally; declining only disables the AI-generation features listed above. OpenAI processes this data under its own API data-use terms and does not use API data to train its models by default.

4. Google and Meta API data

CreatorHQ's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs (including the YouTube Data API) to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data received through Meta's Graph API (Facebook and Instagram) is used solely to provide the features you have connected those accounts for, and is handled in line with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

5. Data sharing

We share information only with the following categories of service providers, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us:

• Cloud hosting and database providers, to store your account and connected data securely.
• OpenAI, to power the AI features described in Section 3a above (reply drafting, AI Studio, AI Chat, and sponsor pitch generation) - only if you've opted in to those features.
• Payment processors, to handle subscription billing (we do not store your full payment card details).

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CreatorHQ or our users.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can disconnect any connected platform at any time from Settings, which revokes CreatorHQ's access token for that platform immediately.

To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app and confirm - this permanently deletes your account immediately, along with everything tied to it (connected platform links, inbox history, analytics, workflows, and subscription records). You can also email support@usecreatorhq.com from your account's registered email address with the subject line "Delete my account" if you'd rather not use the in-app option. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription - manage or cancel that separately from your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; a Stripe-billed desktop subscription is canceled automatically as part of in-app account deletion.

7. Security

Access tokens and passwords are encrypted at rest. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

CreatorHQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent for a connected platform at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@usecreatorhq.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
